Burglary/RSP Arrest: On 08/10/2015, police charged Dwight D. Rose, age 36, no permanent address, Richmond, in connection with the burglary of a residence and theft of a vehicle.

On 08/10/2015, a resident in the 400 block of Francis Street reported that her residence had been broken into and a Dodge pickup truck had been stolen during the early morning hours.

At approximately 9:45 A.M., officers located the vehicle as it was leaving I-75 at the Lexington Road exit and stopped it. Rose was driving the vehicle at the time of the stop. A search of the vehicle revealed several items of drug paraphernalia, including a spoon, syringes, empty baggies, and suspected white powder residue. Rose was detained and transported to the police department.

It would ultimately be determined that tools stolen from the residence during the burglary had been utilized to manipulate the steering column and start the vehicle.

Rose was charged for the following offenses and lodged in the MCDC:

– Burglary 2nd Degree
– Receiving Stolen Property $400 to $10,000
– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
– Driving on a Suspended License

Three warrants of arrest were also served on Rose. Two were for Failure to Appear (one in District Court, one in Circuit court) and the other was an indictment warrant for Bailjumping 1st Degree. It was issued after Rose failed to appear for arraignment in the Madison Circuit Court after he was indicted for Receiving Stolen Property over $10,000, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, and Driving on a Suspended License. He failed to appear on 07/02/2015 and was indicted for Bailjumping shortly thereafter, resulting in the issuance of the aforementioned warrant.

Theft Arrest: On 08/10/2015, police charged Kary Wylie, age 27, Elm Street, in connection with the theft of a vehicle.

On 08/10/2015, a representative of American Pool and Spa, Merchant Drive, reported that Wylie had been terminated from his employment with the company and was directed to leave his company vehicle at the business before departing. Rather than doing so, Wylie took the vehicle and departed.

A short time later, an officer located Wylie at his residence and recovered the vehicle. Wylie was charged for Theft by Unlawful Taking $500 to $10,000 and lodged in the MCDC.

Theft Arrest: On 08/11/2015, police charged Dustin L. Dargavell, age 26, N. Second Street, in connection with the theft of a vehicle.

On 08/05/2015, a resident of in the 200 block of N. Second Street reported that a silver, 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, bearing KY license plate #072RRK, belonging to her father, had been stolen from the parking lot of her apartment building sometime during the past day. The vehicle was disabled and would have had to be towed from the lot.

During the course of the follow-up investigation, detectives identified Dargavell as the party responsible for the theft. It was further determined that he sold the vehicle to a towing company as scrap. Dargavell was an acquaintance of the reporting party. The vehicle was recovered from the towing company and returned to the owner.

Dargavell was cited for Theft by Unlawful Taking $500 to $10,000 and Theft by Deception Under $500.

Wanted: On 07/29/2015 this guy and girl were stopped at Richmond Walmart as they were exiting the store for a receipt. Suspect acts like he is getting a receipt and runs to a vehicle and flees the scene in the white or silver small 4 door vehicle in the photo. Suspects stole a Vizio 39 inch.

Theft of a Tractor: On 08/10/2015, a representative of Bevens John Deere, 908 Commercial Drive, reported that a tractor had been stolen from the business over the weekend. The stolen item was described as a 2015 John Deere sub-compact tractor, model 1025R, green with yellow wheels and seat, with a detachable back hoe and detachable front scoop connected to the tractor. Estimated loss: $18575.00
